The Bee Book is a project initated and coordinated by the Bee Collective (formerly Beautiful Girls Bees).  The project idea was seeded to commemorate Mr Fred House, a beekeeper of 93 years.  Fred lived for almost 70 years in Goodwood Tasmania, and after his sad passing the children of Goodwood wrote this book in his memory.  The project partners included Story Island Project, The Goodwood Community Centre and Tasmanian Junior Beekeepers. 
 
The book is now in its fifth print run, (fast heading towards the fourth) with funds raised from book sales going back into  community projects throughout Tasmania to create bee and pollinator friendly spaces.  When you purchase a book through the Bee Collective, you will also recieve a copy of the project manual outlining how this community project happened with the aim of supporting your ideas for your community.
